Uhh, I live in the real world, what kind of food are we talking about here?

Maybe you're like me, and like to eat... a lot. Never ashamed to go after that extra bite at the family potluck or stuff your face at a company dinner ("this is on the corporate card, right guys? guys?").

Anyway, I digress.  Food.  You need it, you want it, you love it.  You also live in a world with a job, kids, friends, tv, game-night, reading, napping, laughing, and more eating. Foie-what is that and where did it come from?  I'm sorry, you used liquid-nitrogen to do unimaginable things to that unassuming green bean?  It better be delicious!

I watch Top Chef and Food Network like any food-porn-aholic would, and am amazed at the delectable, drool-inducing plates the best chefs can cook up (except how did Patty last that long?).  It's time to face the garlic and onions: I'll never be like these chefs, I'll never understand how to put foods together and create the bites they do.  But what I can do is figure out how to make food work for me, in the real world (7 strangers... oh wait.  copyright infringement pending!).  As a Real World Foodie.
